EP Review
After six years of absence, MELOTRON from Germany are back with a new EP. In this CD we have four new tracks (one of them is instrumental), one remix of the song ‘Stuck In The Mirror’ and a remake to their classic track from the album ‘Weltfrieden’, ‘Folge Mir Ins Licht’. MELOTRON in this EP continues to their known music genre, a good mixture of synth pop, electro pop and future pop with Andy's very good vocals stealing the show once again. The EP’s title track is a very good catchy track sung in English something which is not very usual for MELOTRON. The other three new tracks are good but nothing special. The most prominent of the three is ‘Angst Oder Wahn’. ‘Erase’ is not bad but it's a good track for B-side or filler and the instrumental titled 'Ohne Worte' it's an almost ambient track which I finds it unnecessary. The remix of the title track is made by the singer Andy and it's more dance floor orientated than the original version. I left last the remake of their classic ‘Folge Mir Ins Licht’ which is transformed from a dance floor anthem to an emotional ballad. In conclusion 'Stuck In The Mirror' is a nice appetizer while we are waiting for the new album.
