KXM is a US hard rock band that was formed in 2013, consisting of KORN drummer Ray Luzier, KING'S X bassist/ vocalist Doug Pinnick and LYNCH MOB/ ex-DOKKEN guitarist George Lynch. The band released their self-titled debut album on March 11, 2014, through Rat Pak Records. To call this band a super-group would be an understatement even though the word super-group is rough-handled these days. With Doug Pinnick on vocals who is around with KINGS X since 1987, KORN`s Ray Luzier on drums who hits the drums since 1993 and George Lynch who rock`s and rolls since 1978 this band is indeed “super”.
Every musician in KXM is on top of his game and without question deservedly called a rock star. Pinnicks voice is full of soul and blues, he`s got Rock’n’Roll in his blood and you can hear that he loves his job. To talk about George Lynch`s skills on the guitar can be cut short with just saying that he is epic (if you doubt my word just listen to any Dokken record he plays on) his play is melodic, frisky and at times full-on crazy. Luzier`s drumming never got my attention when I listened to KORN (I didn`t do that all too often) but hey listening to this material here I found myself air drumming to the songs (awkward!) although all members are in this business for over 20 years this record has something fresh about it that is well worth your attention dear reader, take a listen because this stuff just might be your cup of tea.
