Album Review

Thirty-seven years later and the band known only as KISS have reunited and returned to the almighty Rock’n’Roll structure that's made them so utterly famous with their latest achievement to date called ‘Sonic Boom’. Eleven years after their last album ‘Psycho Circus’ (1998), KISS is back and so are its loyal followers in their path, the KISS Army.

This time around, the line-up is a bit hasty but the music still rocks the night away just as it did back in 1972. With the exception of 11 roaring tracks to get your body rocking like no tomorrow, KISS has taken its Rock’n’Rollers back to the olden days of what once was and bring back that energy rhythm that made them so great. ‘Modern Day Delilah’ opens up with a thunderous force field of absolute pride and passion and rock attitude not to mention the adrenaline pulsing through in the back drop. The guitars play their roles as they clash against the drumming tempo beatings while Gene himself echoes and reigns above it all to bring out that almighty groove and undertone of what rock music is truly about.

When it comes to ‘Never enough’, ‘Danger Us’, ‘I'm An Animal’ along with ‘When Lightning Strikes’, these clashes titles set up the perfect theme for this rock album causing an enraging anthem of chorus lines to emerge and shout out as loud as possible. KISS has returned and have proven worthy of their musical rights and abilities and ‘Sonic Boom’ declares their right within the rock music scene and dedication they have proven, so by all means let the alliance of KISS unite from now until the end of time.
