Album Review

MOODORGAN was first conceived as a studio project in the late ‘90s. In 2007, they offered the ‘Prv 1’ EP and now after more than 2 years of waiting, here is number 2. This new record includes club remixes. They are alternate mixes of older tracks, but on this CD there are also two unreleased MOODORGAN tracks I want to highlight the ASSEMBLAGE 23 mix which is quite the best track on this CD, and maybe the best A23 remix ever?! That doesn't mean that the other tracks aren't good, they are! I especially got this opinion because of the complex musical soundscapes. They should please fans of dance music across genres! From my point of view it's difficult to create a style for the masses, but this remix album really got this potential. The mixes often stray from what might normally be considered a darkwave style into the meanwhile established style of future pop. Taking tones from Synth Pop, New Wave and the Gothic genres makes MOODORGAN quite an audio experience
