Album Review

Hey you, yes you, teenage girl, something is here for you! Unfortunately, it’s only for you... LAST WINTER is yet another generic boy-band, ok... so you play Pop-Rock with few metal riffs and drumming to harden it up here and there, but otherwise where the hell is actually a difference between this and bands like old TAKE THAT, BOYZONE or whatever trash is playing the scene of teenage girls and mummy’s boys right now? Different style and same old crap. ‘The Heart & The Broken Compass’ is this band’s second album and by the sound of their grapevine with a new singer. Apparently they’re focusing on “pure honesty and emotional passion”. The honesty is exactly on a level to appeal to teenagers [read boring 2nd class lyrics]; the emotional passion is genre standard and boredom inducing machine assembly line production of music that saturates that market already beyond hallelujah. If you’re not a teen girl and want to be bored to death, ok, try it, but I’d not recommend this waste of time by any means.
