Album Review

I love Opera. Can I sing like Pavarotti does? Or like Ramey? The answer is an obvious nope. Alexey loves Goth. Can he sing, not Goth but actually anything at all? I don’t think so. Maybe if he sung in Russian or Ukrainian he wouldn’t sound like a squeezed cat. His best moment is ‘Away’ but whatever Goth or peculiar element this song has fades away soon enough and what worked in the first song to the others is unbearable. ‘It Is Time’ is another one noticeable song which all the aforementioned distortions are hidden under the carpet of a fast tempo Gothic rock. Overall though what to say? Maybe he’s a misguided Punk guy who fell into Goth. Who knows? Though in his position I’d have a go with Holy Cat in the vocals. His example shows to everyone that not everything you have in mind can be accomplished into something successful. If you grew up with fairy stories of the like ”you can be whatever you want” buy the album and enjoy yourselves. For the rest - you who have kept a contact with reality - avoid it like Dracula avoids the garlic!
