Album Review

Front man of SUICIDAL ROMANCE and a good friend of Chris Pohl, Dmitry, intrigues us with the new EP ‘Whisper Goodbye’. Comparing to previous two long-players, ‘Whisper Goodbye’ sounds fresh and aggressive. If you still waiting for something what would recall their debut album, forget about it. This EP opens new horizons and is full of brutal electronics with tender female vocals coming from deep bottom. The single version of the title song is a great club blockbuster, which is going to blow up dance floors as soon as will be released. From this point of view, there was no need to make any remixes, but interpretations made by REAXION GUERRILLA, PSY’AVIAH and CEDIGEST do deserve consideration, since it is always interesting to listen, how the song will sound with different musical influences. In this case, it’s all about industrial. Other two tracks, or more exactly ‘Deserving of our Sadness’ and two remixes on ‘Slave Slave’ from DIE SEKTOR and INCUBITE, continue the new harsh direction. I wonder if the EP fully represents third studio album ‘Memories Behind Closed Curtains’, planned for the coming fall, because I hope we won’t whisper goodbye for SUICIDAL ROMANCE, which we got to know with their first two albums.
