There´s no need for any explanation, when you hear the name of STEVE LUKATHER – in other words: just in case you don´t know him, you simply haven´t got a clue about rock music! Not only that STEVE LUKATHER is famous for his band TOTO, he´s also a studio musician in great demand. Almost 500 opuses are adorned with his name… Now, his new album ‘Transition’ is released – an album brings up with topics like to rule off his drug abuse, a breakup and a new beginning… themes that are pretty usual for rock business. So, the question is: is the whole album a usual one? To cut a long story short: Not at all!
At any time, you´ll get the impression that STEVE LUKATHER knows what to do to please his fans. Although the opener ‘Judgement Day’ could be a little bit more intense, this is nit-picking. This guitar hero definitely shows his capabilities, especially in terms of ballads! ‘Once Again’ and ‘Right The Wrong’ are beautiful ballads that show, what STEVE LUKATHER´s passion really is: writing ballads! There´s no need to pick and choose, because these 9 songs are above the ordinary. A beautiful release that leaves no doubt that STEVE LUKATHER is still one of the best musicians in this business – highly recommended!
