Single Review

‘Shut up and let me go’ is the second single out of the incredibly successful debut ‘We started nothing’ of young British duo THE TING TINGS. Some of you might remember hearing that tune on last year’s IPod commercials. It’s actually striking with how little means you can create a small poppy and funky song that has such a huge impact. A simple guitar chord, bass, and an addictive network of drums with a dash of percussion and 80s synths are all it needs to make a mass of people want to move along to it instantly. The voice of singer Katie White sounds cheeky and even though she’s not a real good singer there’s something in her voice that makes it a real pleasure to listen to it. The second single track is a purely electronic disco remix of the single, good four minutes longer than the original and will do well on the electronic dance floors. There can only be one thing left to say at the end. Listen to the song and get addicted to THE TING TINGS!
