Album Review

SUICIDE SILENCE an underground band that "broke out" into the mainstream music scene, with their major debut ‘The Cleansing’. Has taken their music to a whole another level with ‘No Time to Bleed’ taking the Hot Topic marketing to a new standard selling every merchandise item you can possibly throw a band's name upon. Every teenager was sporting a form of SUICIDE SILENCE trying to blend within the crowd as best as possible. You'll notice some major differences instantly, such as the crisp and clear production, throwing out the live quality that ‘The Cleansing’ maintained.

This album showcases a mellower vibe especially with opener ‘Wake Up’ which clearly states loud and clear with the repeatable “breakdowns” heard throughout “Wake Up! Wake up!” As the album unfolds itself, ‘Suffer’ tends to follow the old formula SUICIDE SILENCE is well known for, creating everything you've already heard but mixes it up but having a more in your face tone. Then the band comes out with ‘...and Then She Bled’, the band’s first instrumental track with its formula of absolute “spooky” but there is nothing scary about it. This entire track is a mistake with a distorted vibration that slithers its way through being overcome by this eerie voice playing overhead. The remainder of ‘No Time to Bleed’ tends to stand out the most, showcasing SUICIDE SILENCE’s catchiest attempts at music making. The instruments taking on a whole new formula playing well rounded riffs with break-through solos with drumming tactics that shake, rattle and roll right on through, into future of what is to become of the almighty SUICIDE SILENCE.
