No remorse, no regret, no compromise - that’s the motto PHOSGORE introduces itself. In 2008, the German one-man project was founded by the former Electro / Industrial DJ Flo Dietz who started with the self-release `Club Domination´. PHOSGORE soon signed at the label ProNoize and contributed some tracks to several samplers. When on stage, the line-up of PHOSGORE is completed by Sonja assisting the mastermind who has already had appearances at the Dark Dance Treffen, the Schatten-Tanz Festival and at the Slimelight London. All in all, the debut album `Domination´ contains 12 tracks and 5 remixes. The latter were done by big names such as XOTOX, SAM, FABRIKC, STAHLFREQUENZ and [X]-RX.
Certainly, this kind of music is a matter of taste. Extremely pumping beats, speech samples and high speed rhythms create an ear-attacking soundscape. The tracks are intended for those who like to move their bodies to technoid apocalyptic anthems. However, you shouldn’t set a high value on vocals and alternation, as the tracks are pretty alike and fall back on the usual and before mentioned stylistic devices causing either pure dance mania (if you like stuff like this) or tinnitus (if you are familiar with melodic material). I’m sure that PHOSGORE will excellently work live on stage. In my mind’s eye I can see all the dancing people practising that kind of body workout. Nevertheless, that style doesn’t meet my personal taste.
