Album Review

An up-and-coming Swiss band SONIC DELIVERY, somewhere on a musical map between THE RASMUS and DEFTONES, are about to release their EP ‘A Thousands Years’. I don’t think there’s much doubt that they are quite talented musicians. They play eloquently and each component bears testimony to the attentiveness to every detail and meticulousness. This is even more underlined as half of the EP is acoustic. The first song ‘Suffocating’ is a melodic, intent and angsty solid mixture of Rock and Alternative Metal. Second ‘A Thousand Years’ - a romantic declaration leaning more to the Pop rock.

‘Chasing Dreams’ is as if a manifesto of their determination to pursue what they love best - making music. After these three the acoustic part comes in. The latter two songs in their acoustic version are separated from their originals by ‘Out of Sight’ which is another outpouring of feelings, another song that stresses their determination to reach what they strongly desire. A promising band! It would be interesting to see them mature as musicians as they have enough skills to expand their sound further in future and maybe even try to deviate from too much of a generic “cage” they’re stuck in right now.
