Wake up, Utrecht is coming! In general, the mix between Goth Rock and Nu-Metal is nothing really new and mixing it up with sexual themes like they do isn’t either? Band name, album name and some track names as well as the lyrics are playing with the sexual attitude. So where will be any reason to listening to these five boys and the girl? Well, one could be the co-producer of the DOPE STARS INC. Maybe. Another one the pretty sounds from the guitars? Maybe, too! And maybe the voice of Lotus? The base of all songs has been prepared with male background voice, some industrial noises and speeding drums! After starting in 2006 they now got their so called first full length album finished. It’s got 10 short tracks and after about 38 min there is nothing special to remember.
I don’t mind that in case everything is prepared to hear a professional produced album. But after playing about four years together I would rather expect something more. Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe this will be a really great hit. But afterwards they have to make something that will stay in YOUR mind while you are listening to them. I’ve heard the album more often, then just once again. And I can’t really remember one song. The truth is, to remember them there has to be more than this. But to my defence I have to say I’ve listened more to the lyrics. After reading the press-notices where they are named with bands like DEATHSTARS or RAMMSTEIN, I thought the music had enough positive perception. But it was too much... even though the whole album will be really good to listen very loud at night while you are flying full speed down the highway. Lots of fun!
