Schneewittchen

On this hot July day, we went on the way to see SCHNEEWITTCHEN with their eccentric show accompanying the release of the new album ‘Perlen vor die Säue’ in the Ampere club in Munich. Singer Marianne Iser and songwriter Thomas Duda are forming the duet SCHNEEWITTCHEN hailing from Hannover. The group was founded in 1995 in Hildesheim. Their music is a mixture of chanson, pop and rock. At the beginning of their career they performed mostly in cabarets, but however, during the course of time their music and their show became visibly too hard for it. www.schneewittchenmusik.de

Music & Performance
At a quarter past nine, SCHNEEWITTCHEN appeared on stage in the unfortunately only moderately full Ampere. The heat had probably kept some people from seeing the concert in the really well heated hall. Marianne Iser knew, however, well how to carry away the fans from beginning with her performance. With songs like ‘Komm wir ritzen uns die Adern’ from their newest album she still lured the last visitor out of reserve. The show was split in two parts. After the first part of about half an hour, the band made a half-hour break - which turned out a little shorter at the end - and the second part which also lasted half an hour. Afterwards, four additions followed.

Within the second part of the show, the singer appeared topless only with the bead chains decorated which she tore for ‘Perlen vor die Säue’ (Pearls for the pigs). Above all, the female fans were occupied from now on to collect the pearls while the photographers tried to make way to the pearl hail… At the end of the concert, the spectators did not want to let the band go at all and kept on with additions-calls and a lot of applause showing their enthusiasm. This was a successful evening, despite of the heat…
