With SYMPHONIES OF THE ABYSS, Out Of Line starts a compilation series focused mainly on gothic rock. Most of the bands in this compilation are bands that belongs to Out Of Line's roster. We have some very well known names like Combichrist, Staubkind, Terminal Choice, The Birthday Massacre that will definitely help this album from a commercial perspective (that does not mean that the music of bands I mentioned is not good)and also we have some less known bands like Dark Princess or Rummelsnuff which are very good and maybe someone will discover them from this compilation.
This album is released in very low price(like almost all the Out Of Line compilations) making it even more attractive for someone to buy it. The only negative in this compilation is that all of the songs can be found in the albums of the bands and there is no any unreleased or hard to find song. Finally, I would say we have a pretty interesting compilation that I would propose to someone who would like to get a picture of the current gothic rock scene.
