Album Review

Welcome to the wide world that is WHITE PULP and his mind games that is ‘Ashamed of Yourself’, a collection of tunes that will captive and amaze you from beginning to end. By shaping together various emotions into one slick style, WHITE PULP and his band mates have determined their new project and what it has formed into. The band feels a song needs to be created in a short period of time to avoid losing the actual feeling. That is the feelings must be released and captured at the same time. In the ending process leaving us to rumble on and on about 12-songs that stink so deep into our heads it takes forever to get them out. Some songs that capture that feeling include ‘Black Out’, ‘Crow's Love’, ‘I Hate You’ and ‘Sinking So Deep’; these tunes alone set the whole scene that describes the in-depth look and atmosphere that is WHITE PULP. ‘Black Out’ places you in what the title claims into a black out into a pit full of darkness that surrounds you instantly comforting you nicely but brings out that hard wave of rock and roll music that slices you from all angles. The guitar work is done clean and clear but brings up that beating tone that whips you until you're wide awake into the next tune ‘Crow's Love’ that sends a soaring sensation flying right into your soul letting your soul glide into the skyline.

This mellow driven fast paced tune captures the music at its peak showing you what WHITE PULP is made of, the vocals drive the music moving right through you as the guitars and drums pick up the reminder of the music left and lets it fly around you in a twister of heart racing music. ‘I Hate You’ goes down a whole another direction and takes you hatred buried deep inside of you and drives it right out having it spill onto the floor letting the musical instruments stomp and spit upon it as the hatred is slowly broken down until there is nothing left. Last but not least we get tossed with ‘Sinking So Deep’, a real remembrance of WHITE PULP's past creations and his tribute starter to MARILYN MANSON you quickly hear in the squeaky voice beginning the track that reminds you of the dark lord that MANSON is known to be and behold and the rest of the track pretty much carries on to allow that feel enter the music space. WHITE PULP's newest music creation should please any fan looking to sink their teeth into a good sounding style of music but fans who adore MANSON's work and LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT will fall into place no problem.
