The first band for us at the last festival was Kiriyama Family which we saw at HARPA Nordurljos. The band was formed in 2010. For now, there are six participants in it, who are playing electronic pop music. I would call their style pleasant and light. We liked it kind of. // Rating: Music 6, Performance 6, Sound 7, Light 6, Total: 6.3 / 10

Moses Hightower at HARPA Silfurberg were next. This Reykjavik-based  four member Icelandic band was founded in 2007. The guys already have two albums (2010 and 2012) out by now. The first album ‘Let’s make babies’(Búum til börn) was nominated to at the Icelandic Music Awards in 2010. Just like the first band, their show was really pleasant. // Rating: Music 6, Performance 6, Sound 7, Light 7, Total: 6.5 / 10

We already met the Icelandic band Bloodgroup, who played at the HARPA Nordurljos, on the first day of the festival in another venue. Their second concert gathered no less people than the first one. Personally, it was a real pleasure to take pictures of charismatic and beautiful girl-soloist. She just is amazing! // Rating: Music 6, Performance 6, Sound 7, Light 7, Total: 6.5 / 10

Canadian indie rock musician (band) Mac Demarco, based in Vancouver, played at the HARPA Silfurberg. Mac started his music career in 2008 and last spring he turned just 23. The songs are mostly guitar based and despite his you age it was a real pleasure to listen them. // Rating: Music 7, Performance 7, Sound 7, Light 7, Total: 7 / 10

Back to the HARPA Nordurljos, we saw Money, a Rock band from United Kingdom. Memorable moment about them was that they are really working with audience. The performance was started by soloist Jamie alone, and his majestic poetry. The audience was admiringly applauded to this original introduction from the darkness of scene. After that the whole band came and they had been playing no less amazing music. Jamie was very confident on the stage and even used his microphone stand as a hanger for his scarf. // Rating: Music 7, Performance 7, Sound 7, Light 7, Total: 7 / 10

Changing over to the HARPA Silfurberg for Asgeir. Asger Trausti is an Icelandic popular singer and songwriter born in 1992. He works in a melodic folk style. Interesting thing about lyrics of his songs is that they are mostly written by his 72 year old father, and translation of lyrics into English was made by popular singer John Grant (we wrote about him yesterday). For the last two years (the whole music carrier of Asgeir), he won in four nomination of Icelandic Music Awards (Album of the year, Best Newcomer, Public Choice Award, Icelandicmusic.com's Online Achievement Award), and he also won the Kraumur Award 2012. I definitely like his style of music and the hall was fully packed with his fans of different ages. // Rating: Music 7, Performance 7, Sound 7, Light 7, Total: 7 / 10

ON AN ON at HARPA Nordurljos were the last band for the day and for the whole festival for us. The US band in their current trio state (Nate Eiesland, Alissa Ricci, Ryne Estwing) was formed in 2012. Their music is a mix of guitar rock, good vocal, synthesizers, electro beats, bass and drums. // Rating: Music7, Performance 7, Sound 7, Light 7, Total: 7 / 10

Unfortunately, the fourth day of the festival was the last one for me. But anyways I was happy about all positive emotions which I got there. For those who are planning to go to festival for the first time, I would give one advice: do not forget about exploring Iceland itself, not only music. Iceland is an extremely beautiful country and it’s worth to spend at least a few days on sightseeing. And, yeah, do not forget to get dress warmer!
