In the life of every musician, there are a few rare evenings that turn a mere concert into an unforgettable experience. The Blutengel-show at the first “Gothic Meets Klassik”-festival at the Gewandhaus in Leipzig was one of the special moments that left an everlasting impression on the band, audience and all performing musicians.
It is hardly any surprise, then, that Chris and Ulrike (and most probably not only they) were instantly possessed by the desire to repeat this intense emotional explosion. After the unplugged version of the classic “Die With You” which Blutengel performed “Gothic Meets Klassik”-style was met by an overwhelming crowd response at each and every show of the group’s sold-out “Monument”-tour, resulting in an almost sacred atmosphere for the entire duration of the song, the die was cast: something as precious as this should not remain a one-off event and the initial spark for this tour was set off. Now, on each of these special evenings, Blutengel and the “Monument” Ensemble (which is comprised of selected classically trained musicians) will transform the Berlin-based chart wonder’s hits and favourites into an enthralling chamber musical fusion of Gothic, Symphonic and Pop music.
There will be a famous special guest playing an exclusive unplugged show to warm up the audience for the main event at each show. Furthermore, the tour will only consist of a selected series of concerts at special locations and all shows will be seated only to match the special atmosphere of the performances. We would thus like to point out that the ticket contingent will be very limited, as compared to the “Monument”-tour this Spring and we would advise to grab hold of tickets rather quickly before they sell out.
