him2013Fans had to wait three years, but finally end of April, Finland’s most successful rock band released their eighth studio album, ‘Tears On Tape’, and conquered once more international charts. The Dark Rock band with its longing melodies right away climbed up position two in Germany and Finland; in USA, the album made it up to position fifteen. After successful and celebrated club shows end of April, the band around talented singer Ville Valo comes back in autumn for a big German tour, leading them to Hamburg, Berlin, Wiesbaden, Leipzig, Munich and Cologne between 6th and 18th October.

For more than one and a half decades, HIM belong to the worldwide most successful Rock acts of Europe. As spearhead of Scandinavian Rock scene, HIM received a golden record in USA as first Finnish band and created a totally new genre, Love Metal, where they combine power and progression of modern Metal with epic keyboard sound scapes, sad Gothic elements and catchy, timeless melodies. By this mixture, HIM unite fans of different scenes, honouring the dark-romantic melodies as well as the highly emotional lyrics.

With their album ‘Dark Light’, the band had finally also conquered the USA, not only because of prominent fans like Bam Margera or Kelly Osbourne, who both wear the HIM logo, the Heartagram, as tattoo. After the label change from Warner to Universal, the band worked on their new album, ‘Tears On Tape’, since last summer. Produced by long-time collaborator Hiili Hiilesmaa, who took care for HIM’s first demo as well as the band’s most successful albums, the new album is a perfect mixture of acoustically composed songs and powerful dark sound. Love Metal is back! The melange of happiness and sadness receives a new soundtrack!
