karlbartos herrkarl2015The long-time KRAFTWERK band member (1975-1990) Karl Bartos will play some exclusive Germany shows accompanying his 2013 record ‘Off the Record’ in autumn while his former colleagues and last year's Grammy winners travel the world with their 3D and surround-multimedia spectacle. The Hamburger of choice illustrates beside his current songs like ‘Atomium’ or ‘Musica ex Machina’ also songs from his collaborations with Bernard Sumner (NEW ORDER), Johnny Marr (THE SMITHS) and OMD as well as further solo repertoire with own films on a triptych screen in an audio-visual set.

One thing that shouldn't be missing during the 90 minutes long show: a series of classic tracks which Karl Bartos composed as co-songwriter during his KRAFTWERK years: among others ‘Taschenrechner’, ‘Das Modell’, ‘Die Roboter’, ‘Computer Liebe’ and ‘Tour de France’.

DIE ZEIT wrote about the Bartos record ‘Off The Record’: “The ex-KRAFTWERKer Karl Bartos created the record which KRAFTWERK are not able to create anymore.” and the Berliner Morgenpost fancied the live show: “Warmth, spirit and love of life: No art evening but a party, Karl Bartos gives  a new perspective to KRAFTWERK's repertoire.”
