damnationfestival2019French post-rock royalty ALCEST will return to Damnation after almost a decade to play the main stage alongside MAYHEM and OPETH. The duo will be joined by New York heavy rock outfit A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH, fans' favourites RAGING SPEEDHORN and Norwegian black metallers MORK at Leeds University Union on Saturday, November 2. ALCEST, who played the third stage of the festival back in 2010, said: "We are really excited to finally be back at Damnation. Last time we were there was almost 10 years ago when the band just started to play live and we kept an amazing memory from it. See you all there again!"

A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH added: "A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH are honoured and proud to have the opportunity to play the Damnation Festival. We are so excited to be sharing the stage with lots of great bands at one of the best UK festivals around today." And RAGING SPEEDHORN, who have graced Damnation in three different venues dating back to the debut year in 2005, said: "We are excited to be playing what we consider one of the best UK festivals. Damnation is locked firmly in the heart of RSH's history. Always the best lineup, a favourite amongst fans and bands and run by the nicest folk you could wish to know. We are honoured to be asked to perform once again."

The line up for Damnation Festival 2019 so far is: Opeth, Mayhem, Alcest, Primordial, Gaahls Wyrd, Venom Prison, Raging Speedhorn, The Vintage Caravan, Blood Red Throne, A Pale Horse Named Death, Inter Arma, Birds In Row, Lord Dying, Jo Quail, Imperial Triumphant, Carnation, Voices, Wheel, Mork, Alunah, Dawn Ray'd, and Godeater.
