The FKP Scorpio festival summer is cancelled because of the Corona pandemic. Due to the nationwide ban on events until August 31, 2020, the Elbjazz, Limestone, Hurricane, Southside, Deichbrand, Highfield and M’era Luna festivals must also be cancelled. FKP Scorpio welcomes this decision as an understandable and important security measure for the population and is already doing everything possible to ensure smooth visitor communication.“It goes without saying that these rejections, like the unprecedented overall situation, make us very sad, even if we fully support the political decision to protect the population. Our entire team worked together with countless participants and regional partners for a long time for the festival summer and is just as disappointed as our guests”, says FKP Scorpio founder and CEO Folkert Koopmans. CEO Stephan Thanscheidt comments: “For many music fans, our festivals are long-awaited highlights of the year, which nevertheless seem very small in this unprecedented exceptional situation.
