During the last week, several confirmations reached us. Our recent additions to the line-up provide much diversity and we’re happy about the confirmations of: BIFFY CLYRO, BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUB, THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS, ENTER SHIKARI, FLOGGING MOLLY, JENNIFER ROSTOCK, KAISER CHIEFS, OCEANSIZE, PANIC AT THE DISCO, SIGUR ROS and STARS.

BIFFY CLYRO pretend to be very easy and don’t surrender to any kind of stylistic chains, pending between Alternative and Progressive and rocking with a wall of sound. Unquestionable a result of the last five productive years in which the band grew together during hundreds of gigs a year and learned to approach song writing with a matured sense of sobriety.

The sense starting title of the very first single of the BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUB was “Whatever happened to my Rock‘n’Roll” and it was and still is programme. After they turned to the calmer territories full of Country, Blues and Folk with their 2005 album “Howl”, the follow up “Baby 81” became a Rock ‘n’ Roll record again dominated by guitars, which doesn’t deny its kin to “Howl” and its Folk influences.

The groundbreaking CHEMICAL BROTHERS created the genre Big Beat through the linking of samples with indie song snippets, synths and dance beats with ‘Funky’ song structures. The spectacular live shows of the CHEMICAL BROTHERS prove that they’re able to excite their audience in a stadium or on a festival as well as on the dance floors of a club.

The Englishmen of ENTER SHAKIRI mix electro with post hardcore. Founded 2003 in T. Albans, Hertfordshire Rou (Vocals, Electronics), Chris (Bass, Vocals), Rory (Guitars, Backing Vocals) and Rob (Drums) already could play in sold out clubs in 2004.Their songs are featured in the UK Trend Charts without having a record deal. With over 9 million audio plays via MySpace ENTER SHAKIRI is one of the most clicked bands.

What makes a band truly extraordinary? Sensitive lyrics? Unforgettable Melodies? Bombastic Live shows? On balance it’s all this, combined with limitless enthusiasm, infecting energy and absolute devotion to the fans. Referring to the needs and joys of their own life’s and a musical background from old Celtic folk music to modern Punk Rock, the seven members of FLOGGING MOLLY exactly do this. And that with easiness that makes them one of the most accessible contemporary bands.

Singer Jennifer doesn’t speak up: Some will look disgruntled and wrinkle their noses, while the rest jumps and moves to staccato riffs, crunchy beats and old analogue keyboards. Since a few months JENNIFER ROSTOCK are on tour with their songs, not only blessing the scene clubs in Berlin and brawling their way.

“Yours Truly, Angry Mob” the successor of their over a 2million times sold debut “Employment” goes right through the ceiling and immediately cracks the top position of the British charts. The KAISER CHIEFS did everything right and evolved with a remarkable consequence. On the new record, the Five say goodbye to the – how they call it – gimmicks of the “Ohs” and “Na-Na-Nas” and try a harder kind. In the footsteps of hits like “I Predict a Riot” and “Oh My God” now follow “Heat Dies Down” and “Ruby”.

Founded in 1998 in Manchester, OCEANSIZE played a reputation in the whole UK through extraordinary concerts. In the end, the British label Beggars Banquet signed a record deal with OCEASIZE. The ambitious song writing brings OCEANSIZE near to their greatest idols PINK FLOYD and simultaneously lays the foundation for a generation of new Prog Rock bands.

With their debut “A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out”, PANIC AT THE DISCO was the new Rock sensation of the last two years. An MTV Video Music Award 2006 in the category “Video of the Year” for “I Write Sins not Tragedies” should be a trustworthy proof for an extraordinary band. On 22nd March, the band from Las Vegas will present the successor “Pretty . Odd”. The single “Nine in the Afternoon” provides a first foretaste on the album.

You can find lots of beautiful words for the overall atmospheric music of SIGUR ROS: ethereal, heavenly, secretly, impressionistic, abstracted and orgiastic. The band is famous for their bizarre layered soundscapes; you have to be able to get involved with to be gifted with an emotional richness, which equals the famous kiss of the muse.

Ladies & Gentleman. Introducing: STARS from Montreal, Canada. Fallen out off the nest which was built up in Toronto (5 Hours by Car) by an also romantically inclined collective namely Broken Social Scene. Adorable Pop Music can be found here and with insolent easiness, big emotions are worn out in small miniatures. Melodies and arrangements are thrown in as if there was no easier thing in the world.
