2008 will be a sportive year. With the European Football championship in Austria and Switzerland, the football fewer is coming back again this summer. Either at the public viewings, on the fan miles or in a small circle with family and friends. King Football reigns over Europe.
We’ve been infected by this as well and as the first organizer of a scene festival, we gave birth to the “Amphi Cup”. In the extended frame of the Amphi Festival, or more specific on Friday, 18th July 2008 at 7:00 PM, the first “Amphi Cup” with a football tournament of a very special kind will take place. Inside the hall of the Cologne “Indoor Soccer Wessels GmbH”, the biggest Indoor football arena in Europe, a total of 6 teams consisting of musicians (Zeraphine), Amphi attendees, sponsors, organizers and media representatives will step up for the hunt after the rolling leather.
Looking for players for the Visitors Team
You’re at least 18 years old and you love the special kick? Then you’re the ideal cast for the “Amphi Cup” 2008. Because as of now we are looking for you: Volunteers and adventurers, football maniacs and ball athletics with the urge for the goal, which have fun in making our VIPs sweat.
Each of the 6 teams consists of 5 field players and one keeper. Spottiness would be an advantage, but is not a requirement. Female players are very welcome as well, as we know “Women are the better kickers”. In a fair match you will fight amongst others AND ONE mastermind Steve Naghavi, who has already announced his hot ambitions for the position of the VIP keeper. And also the other participants with scene musicians and actors of the Amphi Festival line-up are already awaiting you.

All players will be informed after they’ve been chosen at the beginning of June. To give everyone the same chance, the drawing lot decides among all applications.
Dribbling for Charity
While the teams yet have to fight victory, the first winner of this event is already set. 2 EUR of every sold ticket will be transferred directly to the ambulant children’s hospice in Cologne. Since April 2006, this voluntary club has dedicated its work to the nursing and family counselling of retarded people. For this reason we would also be very happy to see many, many people as visitors at the first “Amphi Cup” 2008.
