It’s done! With the “Orkus Newcomer”, the circles of the Amphi Fetsival 2008 close. The last part of the puzzle goes by the name of MINA HARKER and is already eager to open the Saturday for you with e big portion of Gothic Rock.

Dark worlds, mysterious myths and sagas, utopian dreams which were always conceived, imagined and feared because they seemed unknown and threatening, just like the dead of night with its mysterious creatures, only visible for the one, who takes a closer look and listen: MINA HARKER delves into these very worlds, into the darkest thoughts, into the darkest abysms of the soul. This black mixture provides the magical inspiration to the empathically conceived stories. MINA HARKER interprets the songs extremely individual, what finds it’s most obvious expression in the distinct, powerful voice which always falls into line with the passionate basic mood, sometimes angelic and gentle and other times hard and unrestrained. The counterpart to this clarity is the detailed song arrangement, supported by the harsh guitar sounds of Alexander Gorodezki, who is - together with Mia Harker - the mastermind of the band. Both like to use rich, moody electronics and create a gloom-digital aesthetic, never coming along with too much pathos or melancholy but transport the expression of passion and power, all packaged in carefully and emotively arranged songs with exclusively German lyrics. And the collaboration with producer Georg Kaleve (Subway to Sally, De/Vision) seems to be tailor made for them.
