From Gothic Rock to Wave á la THE CURE - The four newcomers at the M’era Luna are complementing the line-up perfectly. LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE, KLIMT 1918, DIN [A] TOD and the Finnish REFLEXION will enter the M’era Luna Stage and unleash much dark energy.

With their new masterpiece ‘Songs for the last view’ LACRIAS PROFUNDERE once again come to Hildesheim; recorded in Germany, mixed in Norway and mastered at the legendary Masterdisc Studios (AEROSMITH, PANTERA, NIRVANA) in the US by Roger Lian, the inventors of the Rock’n’Sad are now back again and ready to show that Gothic Rock was never more alive, harder and more rocking than today. Like a Gothic version of ‘Appetite for destruction’, the dark hymns groove out off the speakers and none of the songs goes out of your head anymore. The album sounds as if SISTERS OF MERCY wanted to become blood brothers of TYPE O NEGATIVE, HIM or GUNS’N’ROSES. You notice it in every riff, after every spin: LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE are new, heavy and ready with the best album of their career up their sleeves – even for the big breakthrough.

Not by coincidence, the Italians of KLIMT 1918 named themselves after the painter Gustav Klimt and his year of death, because they see parallels between his work and their music: Music, creating mosaic-like soundscapes and is drawn with gentle lines and which, if it all is put together, creates an intense overall picture. "We were inspired by the poetry of neo-realistic cinema, directors such as De Sica, Rossellini, Visconti. We translated all that into our music to convey a feeling of ambiguity to the listeners: salvation and despair at the same time” they say themselves. Even if their songs, at times, remind of THE BEATLES, THE CURE, INTERPOL, U2 or ANATHEMA, they all have something unique, the very special KLIMT1918 Style.

REFLEXION was founded in 1996 under the name BARBARIANZ. In 2000, the band changed their name to REFLEXION. It should take three years until a record label noticed the young Finns and two additional years until they signed a record deal with the label A1 Music. In June 2006, the debut album ‘Out of the Dark’ was released. Now they’re on tour to present their new album ‘Dead to the Past, Blind for Tomorrow’. The mastering of the album was made by Svante Forsbäck (i.e. APOCALYPTICA, SUNRISE AVENUE)

DIN [A] TOD from Berlin are very good when it comes to the playing with images and symbols. Bored by the usual Guitar / Bass/ Drums bands, the Berlin-based trio was founded in 2003. “Symbols are just concentrated images”, says singer Sven. “We think in images. The actual power of such symbols is the same as it is in the music. It is able to vitalize energies, to fascinate and move. At the moment, they’re o Tour with their current album ‘The Sound of Crash’ that they’re live as energetic as they are on Stage.
