For a long time Heavy Metal revolved around one question “Who’s hard, harder, the hardest” How can we top this, thought the Swedish trio HELLSONGS. “Meanwhile the hardest most brave thing to do in Metal is to play soft”, says Kalle Karlsson, guitarist of the band from Gothenburg. The opposite of deafening Heavy Metal barrage is totally relaxed lounge music; new, unique and sensational: “Lounge Metal”The idea was band when listening to the b-side of a single from the Billy Corgan band ZWAN on which they covered the IRON MAIDEN song ‘The Number Of The Beast’. This rather country dedicated version also preludes the movie ‘Spun’ and presents the classic in a whole new costume. But the HELLSONGS trio (Singer Harriet Ohlsson. Keyboarder Johan Bringhed, Guitarist Kalle Karlson) were more consequent in their implementation of the song. The collection of songs will thrill everyone. On the debut ‘Hymns in the Key of 666’ you can also find classics of AC/DC, SLAYER to IRON MAIDEN.
In October, HELLSONGS are on tour through Germany, Austria and Switzerland for the first time. The Swedish trio surely will excite – and in November the tour will be continued.
