With a fantastic line-up for Rock Aficionados, Germany’s most popular Open-Air Festivals Rock am Ring & Rock im Park will come up in 2009. More than 20,000 Ring and Park rockers already used the early-bird discount in presale without even knowing the line-up. But now the line-up of the multiday event at the Nürburgring and in Nürnberg takes great shape. The fans can experience - from 5th to 7th June 2009 - on three stages the most important bands of the modern and alternative rock music live. Without a doubt are THE KILLERS with their current album ‘Day & Age’ the musical protagonists of their time. The Nürburgring and the Zeppelin field are the stages for their exclusive festival performances. Same goes for PLACEBO, also coming up with a new CD as well as the US-Metalrock superstars SLIPKNOT, who just recently underpinned - on their completely sold-out tour - their absolute headlining qualities.
Amongst the top acts of the first bunch also are the Canadian Punk Rockers BILLY TALENT; as well as the Swedish Indie Rock heroes MANDO DIAO and the extremely popular THE SUBWAYS. Great interest is directed towards the attendance of VOLBEAT, who’ve made a kick-start this year with their mix of Rock and Metal and the exclusive performances of KILLSWITCH ENGAGE. Of course, the participation of the most important national artists ever took centre stage at Rock am Ring & Rock im Park. With PETER FOX, the celebrated front man of SEED, the Funk superstar JAN DELAY & DISKO NR.1 as well as KETTCAR, POLARKREIS 18, TOMTE and KILIANS both festivals provide you with the best of the German music scene.
In the past year both festivals set a new visitors record with a total of 150.000 attendees. The twin festivals have already been sold-out in presale. The early bird discount of 125 EUR (Ring) / 126 EUR (Park) ends on 31st January 2009 incl. presale charges, camping, parking as well as the refundable garbage deposit of 5 EUR. Additional charges come with CTS charge and eventually postage.

More bands of the line-up including 80 bands in total will be revealed step by step. The organizers expect to announce the next bands already at the beginning of next year.
