Dear valued SUMMER BREEZE community!
In case you being around the Dinkelsbuehl area just take to time to pop by the festival site. It's rather spooky to see the site without the thousands of headbangers, police men, fire fighters, stage hands, securities and so on. There is in fact still a lot to do. But our anticipation to see you all again makes it way easier.
Ticket sales are still busy and stocks of the DVD which comes for free with each of the first 10.000 tickets sold are running low.
So be quick and save your copy of the SUMMER BREEZE DVD of 2006 and 2007. For 70,- EUR incl. camping and parking tickets are available on our homepage. The strictly to 10.000 items limited DVD is exclusively available in combination with a ticket and will not be pressed or available anywhere else. A hard to get item already. Miss this chance and you will have to buy at ebay and pay a fortune.
Making plans for the progress of events keeps us busy, too. And things turn out to be quite positive. But again: details as soon as things are being confirmed. But one thing is certain already:
we will be having a newcomer stage contest again! For interested and unsigned bands from Germany, Austria and Switzland this will be the chance present themselves to an renowned jury consisting of journalists, label reps and promoters on Wednesday, August 12. The winner will be opening up the festival on thursday playing one of the main stages. And you never know. This may end up in signing a record deal. Info to be found at www.newcomer-stage.de.
Let's turn to a different matter. The SUNDOWN festival moves back to Gaildorf and will take place on October, 23rd and 24th at the Koerhalle location. One of the headliners is confirmed already.
RAGE will show the Gaildorf people how the Rhine area boys use to rock. The boys around front man Peavy are without doubt one of the bands that excites and motivates over and over again. Talking about RAGE. TODAY the fifth Bundesvision Songcontest will be arranged in Potsdam. Last year Subway To Sally took the price home to Brandenburg. This contest sees 16 domestic music acts from 16 federal states competing with each other. RAGE will represent Northrhine Westfalia by performing the song "Gib Dich Nie Auf"
(Never give up yourself). The ProSieben channel will broadcast the event live today, Friday, 13th, 8.15 p.m. from the Metropolis Halle in Potsdam. You have the chance to endorse RAGE with your voting or SMS! More info to be given during the show. Enjoy and show the presenter Stefan Raab this scene can move things!
