"Romances", the 3rd full length release by Tough Troubles, is an album of love songs. It is a free digital download. On this recording, we are as before - Fi Fi, G G and Mi Mi. The base material was recorded equally in various sunrooms and studies in West Sydney and SW London, and our spiritual home, a safe and inclusive community centre in Holloway (contact us for attractive function room rates). The tape was finished off at Reschs Completely Digital Mix Centre in Marrickville, NSW.
This release was originally to be a cassette, NGL014, before Brendon Annesley's untimely death and the subsequent end of the Negative Guest List zine and label. He was working on this release, alongside the myriad other things he tirelessly set himself to, we imagine, in the weeks preceding his death. We are thankful to him for being a champion of our work both as Eagle Boys and with Tough Troubles, and for being an honest, energetic and forthright individual in our dealings with him. It is a sad loss, and our deepest condolences go to those who knew him well and his family, who are most affected by such a tragically early loss of life.
