joachimwitt 2015JOACHIM WITT releases his new record ‘Ich’ in April. Not only did Joachim Witt reach the top 10 in the media control charts with his record ‘Neumond’ and toured successfully through Germany last year, but now the artists surprises us with his announcement of releasing a new record this year as well. The new output is called ‘Ich’ and awaits is release in April 2014. A great campaign on the crowd-funding platform Pledge Music has already started in which the fans are offered the possibility to be direct supporters of the creation of ‘Ich’. Among the new record ‘Ich’ there are selected rarities and specialities of Joachim Witt's musical history to be found on PledgeMusic. They are personally selected and private items which are partly unique – something like that has never happened before.

A first pre-taste is offered with the new song ‘Über das Meer’ which can be listened to here: https://soundcloud.com/joachim-witt-2
A free download of the song is available for a short time on http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/joachimwitt

After the end of the Pledge campaign, ‘Ich’ will be regularly distributed by the label SPV. Another tour is planned for autumn 2015. Before that, there are a few more dates at which Joachim Witt will perform songs of his current record ‘Neumond’ and he will also grace the stages of some festivals this summer. All dates can be found at www.joachimwitt.de. The singer was especially looking forward to the sold out 66th birthday show on 21st February in the Grünspan in Hamburg, at which a lot of renowned musical guests from Joachim Witt's musical history were taking part. Joachim Witt continues to be highly artistically productive and full of surprising ideas in 2015.

How does PledgeMusic work? PledgeMusic is a special form of crowd-funding which is called direct-to-fan. The platform offers the artist the possibility to get in touch with their fans as early as in the working process. By pre-ordering the record and the purchase of different items the artist is supported directly and after the successful end of a campaign the new record is distributed. It follows a “all-or-nothing-principle”: The money for a campaign is only withdrawn after the campaign hits the 100% when the artist can begin the production of their record. In case the intended aim is not reached, everyone who has ordered the record or an item is not financially burdened.
