billyidol savemenow videoAfter ‘Can't Break Me Down’, BILLY IDOL ups the ante with an equally dramatic and mysterious video for his second single: http://smarturl.it/savemenowYT. The electro rock song 'Save Me Now' which IDOL wrote together with Twin Shadow and Greg Kurstin comes from IDOL's current record ‘Kings & Queens of the Underground’. Famous for his great and extraordinary videos, the British rock icon travelled to the Californian desert with his long-year guitarist and companion Steve Stevens for 'Save Me Now' where the video came into being under the direction of Thomas Kirk.

The video shows a priest and a police officer on their journey through the vast and bleak Californian desert landscape, accompanied by a lady who is intertwined in the story in a mysterious way. Kirk describes the video as follows: “I went for a concept which very much took the lyrics of 'Save Me Now' and turned them into a surreal story that I felt was as true to the very visual lyrics as possible. I loved the image of a bruised cop and a priest trapped inside a car.” ‘Kings & Queens of the Underground’, IDOL's first studio record after almost ten years, was released in October 2014 by BFI Records in cooperation with Kobald Level Services. It was produced by Trevor Horn and Greg Kurstin. At the moment, Billy Idol is still on tour in the US and he is coming back to Europe in summer.
