It’s the year 2003 and Bobby hits the Scandinavian pop scene with a bang. The debut album “Romantic and Bleeding” presents you with hit songs like “”Sooner or Later”, ”Tonight Let’s Show The World” and ”Losing Control”. You can watch Bobby on TV, hear their music on various radio stations and the band goes on several tours all over Scandinavia.Later on Bobby also release the two radio hit singles "She´s History" and "Come Crashing In".
Then it suddenly became quiet. Or not really, as members Julian Brandt and Torben Doe continued to make music with their side project The Paper Faces. Their single “Disco Boy” becoming a small hit on national Swedish radio.
Now it’s 2007 and Bobby is back with a goal to make it big outside of Scandinavia. The sound has grown stronger, more mature, and the band still knows how to make great pop tracks influenced by bands like A-ha, Depeche Mode, Keane and Duran Duran.
The Ghost of You Remains
The first single – ”The Ghost of You Remains” – is a beautiful and breathtaking pop song about losing someone close. The song is dedicated to Torben Does father who passed away in cancer a couple of years ago. All proceeds from the single is donated to the Swedish Child Cancer Foundation.
”The Ghost of You Remains” presents you with three versions of the title track – one radio edit, an extended version and a dancefloor remix by Carl Hammar from Daybehavior. Add to this the wonderful B-side “2 to Believe” and you have a more than impressive comeback.
The single is accompanied by a video recorded at Hotel Stenkullen, close to Stockholm. A hotel built in 1858, where time has stood still since the early 1900’s. This is a unique setting giving the video a special character and atmosphere, enhanced by Julian and Torben appearing in clothes from the 1920’s. New album this autumn
”The Ghost of You Remains” is a great taste of what is to come.
