The Blackfield Festival taking place annually in Gelsenkirtchen’s Amphitheatre celebrates its 6th birthday! The festival has advanced to one of the dark scene’s highly acclaimed festivals, continuously striving to give its fans the best of the said music spectrum.
The 6th Blackfield Festival has some changes for you in stock. So far being a 2-days festival, now a third festival day is added. The festival now takes place from 28th to 30th June 2013 at the Amphi Theatre in Gelsenkirchen. You might wonder why the festival is expanded? Well, there are new restrictions concerning the tent stage and the area where the tent was placed. Result of all negotiations: there won't be a second stage for the next festival since this would cause higher costs resulting in higher ticket prices. But to offer you a large variety of bands anyway, the festival is now expanded to a three days event.
Also this year’s festival edition has a greatly assembled line-up awaiting you like for instance headliner AND ONE who will be headlining the festival Saturday. A surprise is probably the show of NEUROTICFISH who had their last show back in 2008 and are finally in the studio again to record new songs. Apart from the musical part, the Blackfield Festival has always been a place of meeting and if you feel like it shopping and this year’s edition will make no exception. At the festival there’s again a vast amount of shopping booths and a wide assortment of food and beverages to satisfy every taste. Additionally you’ll get a perfect location with the Amphi theatre in Gelsenkirchen where you’ll be sure to enjoy good music with friendly people. The surrounding program contains also autograph sessions and warm-up parties prior to the festival.
