Counting Crows - “The Butter Miracle” Tour 2022
The US band COUNTING CROWS, heroes of Alternative Rock and one of the most influential acts of the 90s, is finally returning to European stages. With their current record ‘The Butter Miracle: Suite One’, the band will come to Cologne and Berlin for two shows in September 2022. For three decades, the GRAMMY and Academy Award nominated COUNTING CROWS have been thrilling audiences around the world with an emotional, complex and timeless version of Rock’n’Roll.
In 1993, the band achieved their international breakthrough with their multi-platinum debut album ‘August and Everything After’. The double-platinum second studio album ‘Recovering the Satellites’ followed in October 1996, reaching number one on the US Billboard charts for the first time. With the following releases ‘This Desert Life’ (1999) and ‘Hard Candy’ (2002), the COUNTING CROWS seamlessly continued their early success. In 2004, they recorded the chart-topping hit ‘Accidentally in Love’ for the animated film ‘Shrek 2’, which earned them a nomination at the 2005 Academy Awards, a Golden Globe nomination and a GRAMMY Award nomination. In September 2014, COUNTING CROWS released their critically acclaimed seventh studio album, ‘Somewhere Under Wonderland’.
In 2018, Adam Duritz, Jim Bogios, David Bryson, Charlie Gillingham, David Immerglück, Millard Powers and Dan Vickrey celebrated their silver wedding anniversary and returned to the stages for the “25 Years and Counting” tour. In 2021, the COUNTING CROWS ranked #8 on Billboard’s chart, “Greatest of All Time: Adult Alternative Artists”. Seven years after their last release, COUNTING CROWS’ latest work, ‘Butter Miracle’, was released in May 2021. To coincide with the release, the band is embarking on a major European tour, which will also take them to Germany.
