After their successful gig on the Nocturnal Festival, ASP are coming back again for the “Requiembryo-Tour 2”
ASP play Gothic Novel Rock that goes directly into the legs and heart. ASP sound out the depths of human emotions and imagination. For years now the band around singer and Mastermind Asp is an absolute insider's tip for concerts and that not only in the so-called “Schwarze Szene”. Audiences from 5 to 50 and from all possible groups of society can't resist this charismatic appearance. A magician that rivets the attention from the crowd from the very first moment and takes them on a journey into his own seething world of feelings.
He manages that in small clubs as well as at the big festivals like 2005 at the “Bochum Total”, where ASP managed to stall the on-rushing masses and burned off a dark rock fireworks - never seen before - for over 10.000 people. That is because the front man can rely on an energetic rock band that mostly concentrates itself on their musical qualities to give ASP the free space for his performance on stage. The live the positive spirit of the independent scene - the honesty - against all conventions of the profit-oriented music business.
There's hardly any other band in this genre that could come up with so many hits regardless of their rather short existence. Always with the sense for the big powerful and catchy melody as well as the driving rhythmic structure. Whether it's the tragic ballad ‘Und wir tanzten’ or the Goth-Punk anthem ‘Ich will brennen’ that could be the sweat-inducing motto of the ASP live performance as well: “To the last breath”. One could describe the music of ASP as a symbiosis of harsh tekk-rock with the unique voice of mastermind Asp. But you don't need to. To understand the fascination of and for ASP, you just have to listen to their music.
ASP appear on the stage with a complete live band, so it is hand-made music with real live vocals and chorals. The listener is dragged into the world of ASP from the very first sound and immediately finds himself captured in an emotional roller coaster: At times so intimate and melancholic that you wanna crawl under your bedcover. On the other hand so powerful that it makes you wanna jump up and scream your will of survival into the storm.
