Kato, Berlin, Germany
9th December 2007
Emilie Autumn and Lucas Lanthier

Enjoying “Victoriandustrial” with a delicate cup of tea. SIOUXSIE SIOUX and NINE INCH NAILS. Radical female vocals, dark lyrics, classical melodies, a violin, and pulsing beats. And eye candy. So much eye candy. Beauty that will hurt your eyes. Beauty that not everyone will be able to deal with. A style icon. That, my dears (or should I say Plague Rats?), is EMILIE AUTUMN. If she can be summarized at all.

This perfectly pretty composer / singer / producer / violin player creates stage magic in her theatrical Visual Kei based live show, in which she plays with the opposition between sweet / delicate and dangerous / evil. On her most recent album, ‘Opheliac’ EMILIE AUTUMN is at her most personal. Her hours of classical education are combined with frustrations and emotions, culminating in her own unique sound, which has never before been so angry, so anarchistic, so personal, and so sensitive.

EMILIE AUTUMN brings her Burlesque Female-Only on-stage circus accompanied by many, many richly self-crafted souvenirs to Berlin, to be watched, to be admired, and of course to entertain. Let her magic enchant you and don’t forget to join the Bloomer Brigade when you’re there!
