L'âme Immortelle

Death is not the End

Vienna 1840 at the power kilometre 1918, a maelstrom washes up corpses again and again that no one was able to identify. To give a last resting place to those unknown dead people, they were buried on the same place, where they were found and so the “Cemetary of the Nameless” was created. 104 water corpses were buried there 'til the present day, but only 43 of them could be identified. On all the other crosses you'll find just one word “Nameless”.

Vienna 2008 “Namenlos”

L'AME IMMORTELLE wrench the dead from their oblivion, with their same-titled album, which will be released on 25th January 2008 by giving them a history. Because only the memories of the people make our souls immortal. The songs on the album are so diverse like the possible stories of the people, who rest under those crosses. One time angry and rocking another time danceable and electronic or calm and acoustic.

In February 2008 L'AME IMMORTELLE will go on tour with their new album, which obviously starts in Vienna and then leads them to Germany. The tour as well as the album marks a turning point, a evolution in the history of the band. Death is not the end. As the life is the beginning of death, the death is the beginning of new life.

L'AME IMMORTELLE continue where everything else ends. Adequately to the topic, the atmosphere is to the fore, when Sonja Kraushofer and Thomas Rainer will tell the stories with their minimalistic light show and their live band (Ashley Dajour - guitar, e-bow, Francis - bass, Martin Parzer - keyboards as well as Markus Adamer - Drums).

L'AME IMMORTELLE also give room to the theatrical aspect of the subject by getting the author Thomas Sabottka on stage who will range from the usual experience of  a concert to the contemplation of a cultural events with his lyrics as a part of the program.

Of course L'AME IMMORTELLE won't only play songs from the new album but also many of the older songs. This mixture of music and literature promises to be a unique concert experience, which guarantees at least one thing: It won't leave anybody cold. Between melancholy and irony, between laughing and crying, between death and life there's sometimes just a small step... or just a song

“What remains of us, when the last tone dies away“
