They excite old Heavy Metal fans as well as a young, growing generation of listeners of hard music. The Welsh four-piece BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE is unstoppable since the release of their debut ‘The Poison’ in 2005. Over 1 Mio sold copies, world tours with big names like METALLICA, IRON MAIDEN and GUNS’N’ROSES as well as various awards prove the success of the Welshmen The British ‘Q’ even speaks of “The best British Metal band since decades.” Since the release of their second album ‘Scream Aim Fire’ in January, the band is on world tour which will also lead them to Düsseldorf, Munich, Wiesbaden and Berlin between 21st and 29th November 2008. Extraordinary Metal music from England rather carves out a niche existence for many years. Since Britpop and the still up to date wave of Nu Wave bands, most young British musicians to the Indie, rather than to the sounds of slicing guitars and brutal double-bass drum gallops.

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE is a brilliant exception, founded in 1999 as NIRVANA and METALLICA cover band under the name JEFF KILLED JOHN. Through the Welsh band support project ‘Pynci’ they got their first chance to professionally produce own songs in 2002. The record companies scrambled to get the newcomers whose influences lie in the melodic but fast played Heavy Metal of IRON MAIDEN, MACHINE HEAD and SLAYER. So Matthew Tuck (Vocals, Guitar), Michael Paget (Guitar), Jason James (Bass) and Michael Thomas (Drums) went down particularly well right from the start as they’re the founders of the so called “New Wave of British Heavy Metal” firstly arousing attention in Europe and eventually worldwide during the last years. Their 2005 debut ‘The Poison’ entered the charts all over Europe - regardless of its love to hard, uncompromising music.

In spite of endless tours the band managed to pull out various EPs with new and unreleased material. After a forced break during which singer Matthew Tuck had to undergo a tonsil surgery, the recordings for the second album ‘Scream Aim Fire’ followed. Again produced by metal master Colin Richardson (Machine Head, Funeral for a Friend) this work shows a harder, faster and more uncompromising face of BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE. Their talents are the precision of velocity and powerful dynamics, combined with razor-sharp riffs and extraordinary catchy melodies giving the elemental force the needed harmonic kick, so ‘Scream Aim Fire’ could even surpass the success of their debut. The CD entered the English as well as the German and American Top 5 of the music charts. Since the beginning of the year, the bands on a 2 years world tour, during which they’ll also enter 4 German concert halls with their violent rock.
