THE RASMUS, FRÄULEIN WUNDER

Nowadays, it seems to be a long time ago that THE RASMUS started their career in a school’s assembly hall in 1994. Everything’s happened so fast: THE RASMUS caught the national attention as a result of their first album releases in their native country Finland in the late 1990’s, followed by the international breakthrough with their single ‘In the Shadows’ that became a hit all over Europe. The albums ‘Dead Letters’ (2003) and ‘Hide from the Sun’ (2005) brought them more success.

In 2008, the recent album ‘Black Roses’ was put on the market. The band was supported by the famous producer Desmond Child who had collaborated with Alice Cooper, KISS and Bon Jovi before. Child and THE RASMUS worked out exciting and varied songs that combine 80’s Glam Rock with elements of Synth-pop; the band names the style ‘Death Pop’.

The new year 2009 means a lot of work too: The upcoming single ‘Justify’ is going to be released on 30th January. Furthermore, Lauri, Pauli, Aki and Eero are going to tour Europe from January to April. They will be supported by FRÄULEIN WUNDER at their German gigs. Due to the fact that the gig at the Batschkapp in Frankfurt on 3rd February is completely sold out, THE RASMUS announced an additional concert on 2nd April.
