Cantus Buranus / Corvus Corax

Corvus Corax are known as a re-discoverer of medieval music in Europe, pioneers of the medieval instrument making and above all as "kings of the Minstrels" of the modern times. By the linking of the medieval with traditional European music and modern rhythms they meet the taste of generations of all social classes and put a spell on them with their catchy, massive however at the same time also filigree compositions.

Cantus Buranus II is the new work of Corvus Corax which was published in August, 2008. It is descended from the writings and songs of the medieval manuscript of the Carmina Burana. After the world premiere which took place on the 14th of November, 2008 in Canton / China you can see Corvus Corax with Cantus Buranus in spring, 2009 first in Leipzig and Munich.
