Colos-Saal, Aschaffenburg, Germany,
4th April 2009
COPPELIUS, INNOCENS

According to their own statement, the frock coat-wearing and top-hatted gentlemen have been playing music together since 1791. On 30th January 2009, the Berlin band COPPELIUS released the second long-player `Tumult!´ which will be followed by a tour that will lead them to Aschaffenburg on 4th April.

Supported by the Czech band INNOCENS, COPPELIUS will take the well-disposed audience on a time travel to the era of the German Romanticism. The gentlemen will be able to demonstrate their poetic competences (inspired by E. T. A. Hoffmann) as well as their affinity to brute sounds in accordance with Iron Maiden and Inchtabokatables. The soundscape is completed by cello, double bass and clarinets, whereas a morbid sense of humour is typical for the lyrics.

True to the motto “COPPELIUS helps”, the band members Max Coppella (vocals, clarinet), Nobusama (drums), Graf Lindorf (vocals, cello), Comte Caspar (clarinet, vocals), Sissy Voss (double bass) and their butler Bastille (vocals, drums) will please all friends of the cultivated chamber music and will afford them an unforgettable evening at the Colos-Saal.
