Zeche, Bochum, Germany
29th October 2009
Kasabian

Their story is a classic Rock’n’Roll story. In 1997, three schoolmates from around Leicester, named Tom Meighan (vocals), Sergio Pizzorno (guitar, vocals) and Chris Edwards (bass) from a band called SARACUSE. Eventually, guitarist Christopher Karloff would become a member of the group who initiated the change of the band’s name to KASABIAN, which was the name of the getaway car of mass murderer Charles Manson.

After two critically-acclaimed albums with ‘Kasabian’ (2004) and ‘Empire’ (2006), as well as personnel changes and a creative break, the band returns with their third full-length ‘West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum’ supported by a same-titled tour. Among German dates in Cologne, Wiesbaden or Hamburg, they’re also going to make a stop at the Zeche in Bochum on 29th October and they won’t be satisfied until everybody’s rocking along with them.
