Mülheim’s Castle Rock festival, meanwhile advanced to cult status, enters its eleventh year in 2010 and also in the next year will come up with a top line-up leaving nothing to be desired for fans of darkly romantic rock music and brachial sounds. With EISBRECHER it’s once more getting ice cold at the castle when the group sets sails for Mülheim. They’ll bring their new album as well and show that they’re shooting stars of the past festival season for a good reason. Next act celebrating a reunion with Mülheim and Castle Rock is LETZTE INSTANZ, who with their balancing act between Pop, Goth Rock, Classical Music and Metal meeting deep German lyrics will once again make the air and the attendee’s feet boil.
DIARY OF DREAMS with their high quality releases and remarkable live shows have reached the top of their genre and a special position in the scene. If they’re releasing a new album, you’re always getting a little piece of art. On their third appearance at Castle Rock, the band will show that dreamy keyboard lines and brittle melodies aren’t in the way of an extensive, energetic performance. Besides those acts already extraordinary enough on their own, the festival will feature acts like e.g. HEIMATAERDE presenting their blend of electrifying electronics and archaic musical elements in a rousing performance, or EDEN WEINT IM GRAB, the project of Alexander Paul Blake which will bring the avant-garde to Mülheim and surely polarize in the way they’re doing things on stage.
