Introduction
AGGRESSIVE CHILL was formed in Strömstad, a city on the Swedish west coast, in 2003. After a bunch of live gigs and a couple of demo tapes the band entered Bohus Sound Studios 2007 to record their first album 'Aggressive Chill', it was released in 2008. In January 2009 they started working on the next album “Destination 7734”. This autumn AGGRESSIVE CHILL is going on tour as pre act to MUSTASCH on their Swedish tour and later on in December it´s time to go on tour with Europe on their Scandinavian tour. But first it´s time for them to release their brand new album 'Destination 7734'.
Album Review
'Done by a fool' is a pure pleasure to listen to. I love the music that just flows with great guitars and bass. The fact that this song has a good melody, lyrics and vocals makes it even better. 'Insomnia' was the first single from the album and this is a song that really touches, it´s beautiful and well… it´s hard to capture the feelings of this song with words but I really like it and the way Willy sings. It fits very well to the compositions.
'Understand Me' is a song that is just more than the previous songs on the record, great music, lyrics and vocals, it´s a very strong and impressive song. 'Outer Edge' has a rougher edge. Like the melody, more guitar orientated. And it has a really cool guitar riffs in the end. Rougher parts perfectly woven together with some calmer parts create an interesting song. 'A Moment in Hands' is a softer song with cool guitars and vocals. I like they way this song is build and it´s lyrics.
After spending a couple of days listening to 'Destination 7734', I´d say this is an album that really grows on you the more you listen to it, musically it´s creative and it´s a pleasure to listen to most of the songs. Interesting and cool lyrics together with Willy´s strong vocals is a really good and powerful combination.
