zootwomanThe British synth pop band ZOOT WOMAN announces its new album ‘Absence’ for release on 16th June 2017. After playing a sold-out European tour and festivals around the world with their last album, Adam Blake, Johnny Blake and Stuart Price retired to work on their fifth album. As on their first album, ‘Living In A Magazine’, ZOOT WOMAN manage to preserve their own modern aesthetics, as well as their inherent timelessness on ‘Absence’ once again.

The eleven song tracklist of ‘Absence’ is led by the highly catchy ‘Solid Gold’, followed by the introspective ‘Ordinary Face’, the regrettable ‘I Said It Again’ and the 60ies Soul-inspired ‘Haunt Me’. A special highlight is a feature with Kylie Minogue, who lends her voice to the epic ballad ‘Still Feels Like The First Time’. It’s not surprising since Stuart Price is also responsible for various Kylie hits (i.e. ‘Can't Get You Out Of My Head’). The band is fronted by singer and songwriter Johnny Blake, while Adam and Stuart are responsible for the production technology side. They bring elements of Rock, 80s and 90s Pop as well as Electronica together. The result are some of the greatest pop songs they have ever written, which underline their reputation as a genre-defining band of the 21st century.
