The Autumn Moon Festival comes to the rescue of those who are still looking for a special event to attend on the Halloween weekend. The town of Hameln on the border of Lower Saxony and North-Rhine-Westphalia, probably most known for the tale of the rat catcher, invites the dark scene to a musical and cultural celebration of the beginning of the winter season.
The festival offers a diverse programme of shows, lectures and workshops and there's something in it for everyone. The EBM and Synth Pop fans can look forward to seeing AND ONE and DIORAMA, lovers of past times can dance to the tunes of the medieval EUZEN, QNTAL and OMNIA, Dark Wave fans can get dreamy at CLAN OF XYMOX' set and Gothic Metal fans are served with LEAVES EYES and LYRIEL and last but not least, DEINE LAKAIEN will break everyone's hearts with their intense live show. This is only the crème de la crème, there are 30 bands in total that will heat the audience up during the cold Samhain season!
As already indicated, there is an extensive frame programme that offers interesting and insightful lectures and workshops. Among others, one can learn how to photograph with a retro pinhole camera or how to make music on a frame drum! A further treat might be the boat stage which promises an extraordinary and wonderful live experience and which is limited to 200 persons only. It should be noted that this festival does not offer accommodation so if one who is not a local would like to attend the festival it might be wise to book accommodation early beforehand.
