The billing which is offered to us, is reaching from great bands like ENSIFERUM, KORPIKLAANI, MOONSORROW to TYR and EUVEITTE. Friends of Viking-, Pagan- and Folk Metal come to their full cost on the Pagan Festival Tour.
ENSIFERUM is a Finnish metal band, mostly assigned to Viking- and Folk Metal. It was founded in 1995 by Markus Toivonen, Sauli Kimmo Savolainen, and Miettinen.
KORPIKLAANI (Finnish for: clan of the wilderness) is a Finnish folk-metal band with strong influences from the traditional folk music. The lyrics of the band act of mythological themes, as well as the nature and the celebrations purely instrumental pieces are also available in their repertoire.
MOONSORROW was founded in late 1995 by cousins Henri and Ville Sorvali in their hometown of Helsinki, Finland. The description, "epic heathen metal", came into the picture somewhere later, but the general idea was there from the beginning: to create epic metal art with a good touch of national romanticism and a distinctively pagan approach. And as much as MOONSORROW's music may have evolved over the years, the principle is still the same.
