Album Review

MOWER is San Diego's based powerhouse act some prefers calling "California's hardest working band"; they’ve been assaulting audience non-stop since their self-titled debut back in 2003. Now it being 7 years later, ‘Make It a Double’ comes back with a vengeance. When it comes to breaking down ‘Make It a Double’ you get thrown with a handful of tunes that leave this rotating ring in your ears that won't fade away so easily. ‘The Party’, ‘The Song We Don't Speak Of’, ‘Road Rage’ along with ‘Pieces’ and ‘Shut Up And Skate’ are just a handful of tunes you'll be banging your head too if not catching yourself singing right along.

MOWER presents themselves worthy of a challenge and this one being to creating an album worthy enough to listen through. On my behalf this album was a turnaround from their earlier works. Stepping it up to a whole another level completely from the instrumental proportions taken into effect you hear the rattling of the guitar solos which easily break on down into amazing riffs you definitely can get your groove on. Not to mention the vocals those are so crisp and clear and true to the rock and roll atmosphere, Mower has figured out how to do something right. Will you be the one to ‘Make It a Double’ instead of a single?
