With the first wave of bands, organizer FKP Scorpio announces the first 18 names for the upcoming edition of the Plage Noire on November 29th and 30th, 2024 at the Weissenhäuser Strand holiday and leisure park. Among them are high-profile stars of the dark scene such as SUBWAY TO SALLY, LORD OF THE LOST and PROJECT PITCHFORK. Already a good year before the event, these acts have managed to stir up the audience's anticipation - no matter how darkly dressed the community may be, the line-up of artists is once again so colourful, making the indoor festival a place of longing for all Goths, fans of medieval rock, lovers of EBM and related subgenres: The fact that the wishes of the fans have an influence on the billing of a festival is shown not least by the reunion with the Medieval Rock heroes SUBWAY TO SALLY, Dark Rock band LORD OF THE LOST and the Electronic Wave veterans PROJECT PITCHFORK - they are regularly at the top of the wish lists asked in visitor surveys following festivals. “We are very pleased that we can confirm these three audience favourites at such an early stage and thus show all festival visitors that we hear their voices,” says Stephan Thanscheidt, CEO and Head of Festival Booking at FKP Scorpio.
L'ÂME IMMORTELLE, DIARY OF DREAMS and FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY promise a melange of Wave, Electronica, Pop, Alternative and Metal touches. HOCICO and AGONOIZE grace the Weissenhäuser Strand holiday and leisure park with energetic Aggrotech. Erk Aicrag, shouter and lyricist at HOCICO, has so much power that he is also bringing his second project RABIA SORDA to the Plage Noire stage. FUNKERS VOGT and AMDUSCIA invite you to the dance floor with their electro sounds. It gets rocky and loud with the NDH group HELDMASCHINE and the Industrial Rockers BEASTO BLANCO. CORVUS CORAX take the audience into their version of the Middle Ages. Synth Pop from MELOTRON, Dark Electro from INTENT:OUTTAKE and the genre mix of Gothic Rock and Wave from GIRLS UNDER GLASS, as well as SIDEWALKS and SKELETONS & CASHFORGOLD with their fine sound cascades, are symbolic of the colourful black community that has always represented the Plage Noire is.
